WWII Replacement Decorations Awarded

DAYTON, Ohio -- Maj. Gen. Carl Schaefer(left), Air Force Materiel Command Deputy Commander presents replacement decorations to include the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, and the European, African, Middle Eastern Service Medal to WWII Veteran Lt. Joseph Kollenberg at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force on July 24, 2019. Kollenberg’s awards and their citations have been lost over the years. From 25 Aug 1944 through 21 Apr 1945, Lt.
