Museum to launch redesigned website on July 23

DAYTON, Ohio -- The National Museum of the United States Air Force is getting a new look online.

The museum's website, www.nationalmuseum.af.mil, gives virtual visitors access to information and photos from the museum's exhibits, from the earliest days of military aviation through today's war on terror. Along with larger photos and videos, the new site is optimized for mobile devices.

The redesigned website is part of the Air Force Public Web program, a network of Air Force websites accessible by the general public. The program standardizes how the Air Force publishes its Web content.

Also available online is the museum's 360-degree virtual tour, which includes interior views of dozens of well-known aircraft in the museum's collection. The virtual tour is available at www.nmusafvirtualtour.com.

The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio, is the world's largest military aviation museum. With free admission and parking, the museum features more than 360 aerospace vehicles and missiles and thousands of artifacts amid more than 17 acres of indoor exhibit space. Each year about one million visitors from around the world come to the museum. For more information, visit www.nationalmuseum.af.mil.
