Boot Hooks

Note: This item is currently in storage.

Boot hooks are designed to make pulling on tall riding boots a quick and easy process. Holding the handle of the boot hook, the hook ends of the boot hooks are then slipped through the boot pull straps attached on the sides of riding boots. Sometimes the boot straps are part of the external design of the boot, but usually these straps are hidden inside the boots (located at both sides near the top). By the end of World War I, static trench warfare was becoming the more popular way of fighting, and so the use of cavalry quickly began to decline. WWI marked the last time horses would be used on a mass scale in modern warfare.
