The National Museum of the United States Air Force hosts outdoor aviation events each year (weather permitting). Here is a list of upcoming events:

AFMC Freedom's Call Celebration
June 27, 2014
Freedom's Call Celebration Join Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for the annual Freedom's Call Celebration. The event features live music and fireworks, and it takes place on the museum's back field. Admission and parking are free.

Dayton Air Show
June 28-29, 2014
Dayton Air Show Make sure to stop by the museum's booth during the Dayton Air Show on Saturday, June 28. Also, visitors can park at the museum and ride the Miami Valley RTA bus to the air show, which takes place at Dayton International Airport on June 28-29. More information on this shuttle will be available as the event nears. The museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.

World War I Dawn Patrol Rendezvous
Sept. 27-28, 2014
World War I Dawn Patrol Rendezvous Commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I in Europe as one of the nation's premier historical aviation events brings the excitement and adrenaline of early air power to Ohio. The World War I Dawn Patrol Rendezvous features vintage original and reproduction WWI aircraft, radio-controlled models, era automobiles, period re-enactors, educational activities and a collector's show. This flying event is offered by the museum and the Great War Aeroplanes Association. FREE admission and parking. Note: Please watch the museum's website or social media networks for weather updates.

Giant Scale Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft Air Show
Sept. 4-6, 2015
Giant Scale RC Air Show See daring acrobatics performed by model jets, helicopters and warbirds during a three-day air show of giant scale radio-controlled aircraft on the runway behind the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. This event is hosted by the museum each year over Labor Day weekend and is sponsored by the Dayton Ohio Giant Scalers. Hours for the event are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. FREE admission and parking.
