Tickets available for holiday concerts at the museum

11/10/2009 - DAYTON, Ohio -- Note: All tickets have been distributed for both evenings. A stand-by list will be kept both nights for individuals who do not receive tickets. Names will be put on the list on a first come, first served basis. To get on the list, you will need to come to the museum on either Dec. 19 or or Dec. 20 between 6:30 and 7:10 p.m. At 7:20 p.m. all empty seats will be released to individuals on the stand-by list.
The U.S. Air Force Band of Flight, along with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, will present two Holiday Concerts at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 19 and 20 at the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
Due to the popularity of these free concerts, tickets are required and will be available for public distribution beginning at 9 a.m. on Nov. 17. Requests made before this time will not be accepted.
Tickets may be obtained through one of three ways. Requests can be made in person at the museum Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Those who cannot make it in person may request tickets by calling (937) 255-5924 or by submitting an online form at http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/news&events/concerts.asp.
Those requesting tickets must provide their name, phone number, address, date of concert they would like to attend, and the number of tickets they would like mailed to them. The limit is four tickets per person and they will be mailed between Nov. 17 and Dec. 14.
The National Museum of the United States Air Force is located on Springfield Street, six miles northeast of downtown Dayton. It is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day). Admission and parking are free.
