This scan from the SAM 26000 logbook shows the entries made on Nov. 22, 1963, the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. SAM 26000 carried Kennedy's body and Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson back to Washington, D.C. It was on this aircraft that Vice President Johnson was sworn in as the new President of the United States. (U.S. Air Force photo)
