Guided School Tours

Education ProgramSchool Groups Only
Grades 4-12

Guided tours last approximately two hours and are available to students in grades 4-12. They are offered Monday through Friday mornings during the school year and are conducted by museum-trained volunteers. Although free, reservations are required and should be made early. Available dates are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

To request this program, please complete a registration form.

Please note Springfield Street, the road that leads to the museum’s entrance, is undergoing construction through the beginning of September. Expect lane reductions and some delays. Please follow the signs and instructions provided by the road crews.

1) One adult leader is required for every 10 students. Please divide your groups before entering the museum. Each tour guide will lead a group of 10 students and one adult.

2) Group size is limited to a maximum of 100 students per day, depending upon guide availability.

3) Be sure to allow extra time if your group will be staying for lunch, visiting the museum store, making restroom breaks or viewing a movie in the digital 3D theatre. Schedule your tour before making theatre reservations.

4) Please arrive on time. The guides are volunteers and will not be held longer than 30 minutes after your scheduled arrival time
