F-111F
F-111F aircraft and an EF-111A Raven aircraft, rear, fly in formation over the desert during Operation Desert Shield. The aircraft were assigned to the 48th Tactical Fighter Wing. The displayed F-111 flew as the lead aircraft in strikes against Libyan targets in Tripoli during the 1986 OPERATION EL DORADO CANYON and again led strikes in OPERATION DESERT STORM. Aircraft 70-2390 is the furthest left F-111 in the formation.
