The Air Force Marathon is on Saturday, September 21, 2019. The start/finish line for the Marathon is on museum grounds. The museum is still open regular hours of 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. However, expect increased traffic and attendance on this day.

What's Happening

Commemorate the 72nd Anniversary of the Air Force by meeting and hearing stories from more than 30 Air Force veterans. These veterans will be stations in the galleries near the aircraft or exhibit that relates to their expertise. Interact with a former B-25 pilot, meet a former F-4 crew chief, learn from a former B-1 engineer, and more. Click on the picture for more information.
Celebrate the beginning of the fall season while learning how we can overcome and cope with the force that causes falling - gravity! Activities and demos will allow visitors of all ages to experience the concept of gravity in a variety of situations including trying on a real parachute, sit in a B-2 ejection seat, experience virtual reality, and more. Now accepting registration from students ages 14-18 who are interested in taking an introductory course to becoming a pilot. This free two-week course consists of Ground School and training at a flight simulator. Students must be able to attend all 6 classes over the two-week period. Registration is required. The museum comes to life with a variety of activities on Friday, November 1st, 2019 from 6-10 p.m. Meet veterans, military reenactors, open cockpits, kid activities, Star Wars characters, zoo animals, and more. Click on the picture for more information.
