What's Happening

The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, along with the National Aviation Hall of Fame, will officially reopen to the public on July 1. While the museum is excited to reopen, our top priority is the health and safety of our visitors and our entire museum family. Therefore, we’ve carefully developed reopening guidelines following the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the State of Ohio, local health experts and peer institutions across the country. The National Aviation Heritage Area has put together an Aviation Boarding Pass which includes discounts on admission, retail and theater experiences from aviation tourist destinations in the greater Dayton area. Mr. David Tillotson III, Director of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, was recently interviewed by the Wright-Patterson AFB newspaper staff about how the museum has been performing its mission since it closed March 15 as a public health precaution in relation to COVID-19.
