The National Museum of the United States Air Force will be observing Read Across America Day on March 5th & 6th, 2020, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. both days. Students in grades 2 and 3 are invited to attend the Museum and listen to stories read to them by volunteers, both civilian and military, from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Volunteer participation is coordinated by Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Educational Outreach Office.
This event is part of a national effort sponsored by the National Education Association to promote reading and is held annually on or near the anniversary of the birth of Dr. Seuss.
To participate in the “read-in” at the Museum, teachers need to register their classes, select the date you desire to register.
Thursday, March 5, 2020, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Friday, March 6, 2020, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. One teacher may complete one form to include all teachers attending from the same school.
