37th Annual International Aerospace Art Exhibition
June 18 – September 21, 2025 | Cold War Gallery

Explore aviation through the eyes of artists from around the world in this juried exhibition presented by the American Society of Aviation Artists (ASAA). Featuring 41 original works selected from nearly 100 submissions, the exhibit showcases a variety of aviation and aerospace themes—from military and civilian aircraft to commercial flight and space exploration. Don't miss this stunning celebration of flight and imagination, on view for a limited time.

Blast Off into Fun at Rocket Day 2025!
Join us for an out-of-this-world experience at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force during our annual Rocket Day—a FREE event packed with hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and high-flying excitement for all ages!

Budding engineers and space enthusiasts can build and launch their own model rockets and explore the science behind spaceflight through STEM demos, and much more.

Give the gift of life with your blood donation at the museum!

Friday, Oct. 3 from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. under the wings of the B-52 in the second building. Walk-ins are welcome or pre-register - link coming soon. 

ASBP will provide t-shirts and snacks following your donation. 

All blood types are accepted and there is currently a significant need for type O blood. Additionally, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has updated guidance for the Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD) or “Mad Cow” disease deferral. Contact the Armed Services Blood Program for more information. 

This monthly program will also be onsite Fridays, Oct. 3, Nov. 7 and Dec. 5.

Honor the service and sacrifice of our nation's Airmen at Plane Talks November 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This engaging program invites visitors to connect with veterans, active-duty personnel, and other experts stationed throughout the museum’s galleries. These subject matter experts—ranging from pilots and crew members to engineers and navigators—will share their personal experiences and insights, bringing the history of Air Force aircraft and exhibits to life.

Held several times a year, Plane Talks often coincides with significant military anniversaries, offering a deeper understanding of Air Force heritage. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear firsthand stories and explore the artifacts that shaped aviation history.

Join the National Aviation Hall of Fame September 28, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. for Girls in Aviation & Stem Day! 
This free day-long experience is designed to inspire curiosity and confidence in young girls ages 6-17 to explore careers in aviation and STEM fields through hands-on activities, meeting with female role models in aviation, and learning about various career paths beyond just piloting.

After Dark: Bombers & Brews
An evening of craft brews, live music, trivia, and special access to aircraft and rare artifacts at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force awaits you! This adults-only event (ages 21+) takes place Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, from 6–10 p.m.

Tickets are $45 and include brewery samples, hors d’oeuvres, and entertainment. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Holidays in the Hangars — Nov. 28-Dec. 31
Celebrate the season with Holidays in the Hangars—a festive display of decorated trees throughout the museum galleries. Local community organizations will bring holiday cheer to the wings of history with creative tree designs set among iconic aircraft. Come explore the sparkle and spirit of the season in a setting like no other.
