Giant Scale Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft Air Show
Aug. 30 - Sept. 1, 2019, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
During this three-day event visitors will see some of history’s well-known airframes at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force over Labor Day weekend, but they won’t just be the ones inside the galleries. Scale versions of those aircraft will fly over the museum, regaling spectators with daring aerobatics. Brought to you in part by the Dayton Ohio Giant Scalers, RC pilots will entertain audiences as they perform skillful maneuvers with jets, warbirds and helicopters from all eras of aviation history.
Bring the whole family and watch as radio-controlled model aircraft take to the skies at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force! Traveling from across the country, more than 100 pilots take part in the Giant Scale Radio-Controlled Model Aircraft Air Show, sharing their passion for the sport with visitors. This event takes place behind the museum on historic Wright Field. Free admission and parking. Those interested in attending the show must enter through the main museum gate off Springfield Street, and follow the signs to the event area behind the museum.
