Technical Sergeant Martin McGuire served as Thunderbird No. 7 crew chief from 1984-1986. Crew chiefs spend long days and nights keeping the Thunderbirds flying. Each is a volunteer and an expert. A show has never been cancelled because of maintenance difficulties since the team’s founding in 1953.
