Southeast Asia War Gallery
DAYTON, Ohio (09/2011) -- Museum Conservator Jennifer Myers works on a portion of a 122mm rocket that destroyed the base chapel and wounded three Airmen at Tan Son Nhut Air Base, South Vietnam, during the enemy’s Tet Offensive in 1968. The rocket will be included in the "Protecting the Force: Air Base Defense" exhibit, which opens at the end of September as part of the museum’s ongoing renovation of the Southeast Asia War Gallery.
