68th Doolittle Raiders Reunion

U.S. Air Force Lt. Col (ret.) Robert L. Hite, co-pilot of the sixteenth B-25 Mitchell Bomber that took part in the Doolittle Tokyo Raid, attends a press event at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, April 16, 2010. Reflecting back on the historic flight, Lt. Col. Hite said, "We were wondering whether we would be able to take off. After 15 other planes had done it, we realized that we could." The Doolittle Raiders' 68th reunion commemorates the anniversary of the Doolittle Tokyo Raid on April 18th, 1942, when U.S. Army Air Forces Lt. Col. Jimmy Doolittle's squad of 16 B-25s bombed targets in response to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Jacob N. Bailey)
