Memphis Belle Memorial Association makes donation
DAYTON, Ohio (11/06/2009) -- Members of the Memphis Belle Memorial Association visited the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force today to observe the restoration progress of the Boeing B-17F "Memphis Belle." During the visit, they donated $500 for continued restoration of the Belle. George Mongon (left), chief development officer for the Air Force Museum Foundation, accepted the donation from George Barnes, president of the Association. Other Association members who were present included Andy Pouncey, Brian Pecon, Dr. Harry Friedman, John Kledzik, David White, Leroy Hutchins and Dan Hutchins. (U.S. Air Force photo)
