Chaplain Robert Preston Taylor

Awarded a Silver Star for his bravery in Bataan before the surrender, Chaplain Robert Preston Taylor also served his fellow man on the Death March. He was beaten and tortured during the March for constantly rendering assistance to others. Taylor later became the USAF Chief of Chaplains from 1962-1966 and is pictured here while serving in that capacity. (U.S. Air Force photo)
