MH-53
DAYTON, Ohio - Retired Master Sgt. Joel Happeny from Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., visited the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force on April 18, 2009, and took this photo of the MH-53 in the Cold War Gallery. Happeny was the crew chief on this aircraft from 1986-87 when it was assigned to the 41st CAMS (Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Squadron), 41st RWRW (Rescue and Weather Reconnaissance Wing), and worked on it at various bases throughout his 25 year career. The tail number is 68-10357 and it was nicknamed “Magnum” after the handgun due to the last three numbers of the tail number “357.” (Photo courtesy of Retired Master Sgt. Joel Happeny)
