1-Star Window Flag
The title to the popular song “Over There,” written by George M. Cohan in April 1917, was incorporated in the designs of some window star flags. This particular 1-star window flag, which reads “Service Over There,” was displayed in the front window of the donor’s grandmother’s home to represent the donor’s father who was serving in Europe during World War I.
