WWI Liberty Bond Poster

The posters created during World War I often reinforced the idea that it was every individual’s responsibility to support the war effort. The artist of this poster, Charles Raymond Macauley, combined a simple message with powerful imagery in support of the First Liberty Loan campaign, which began in April, 1917.
