Eddie V. Rickenbacker WWI Diary
Capt. Edward V. Rickenbacker's 1918 wartime diary entry. (05/15/1918). Was decorated by General [Augustin] Gérard, Commander of the 8th Army French with a French War Cross and Palm. There was a company of American soldiers. Also one of French including the American band. It was a most beautiful ceremony. Several of the American Generals were on hand.
