Eddie V. Rickenbacker WWI Diary
Arrived in Paris 2:30 A.M. had a terrible time finding rooms in hotel. The most noticeable thing of the day was on arriving to find so many lights lit in Paris. No more bombing. Also noticed the many war [trophies] captured by Allies. The Champs-Élysées Place de la Concorde were simply lined with same.
