USAF Band of Flight Uniform of TSgt.(Ret.) Felita A. LaRock
DAYTON, Ohio -- This ceremonial band uniform was worn by TSgt. Felita A. LaRock, a vocalist with the USAF Band program from 1994 - 2014. This particular uniform style was adopted in the summer of 2009 and worn until her retirement from the Air Force Band of Flight. TSgt. LaRock completed three deployments and has performed all over the world with the USAF Band program to include a duty station at Yokota AFB Japan. LaRock's passion for singing began in childhood while performing at church and she holds a degree in vocal performance. She taught music to K-8 children at St. Bernard Catholic School in Springfield, Ohio before deciding to join the U.S. Air Force. LaRock auditioned for the USAF Band of Flight the day after seeing Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown in concert and was quickly accepted. Over the years, she has performed with Stevie Wonder, Lee Greenwood and at major sporting events. Even after retirement she continues to sing at various events around the world.
