Grey Berets Forecasting Weather Behind Enemy Lines
Attached to the 3rd Special Forces Group, USAF SSgt. Jason Beyer sets up and checks a Remote Meteorological Weather System (RMWS) on the dirt landing strip at Khowst, Afghanistan, in 2002. RMWS were set up along mountain ranges and other remote areas to send back weather data to enable accurate target and route forecasts.
