Women were initially barred from missile careers because it was considered combat. By the late 1970s, public support of female missile crews increased, and women were permitted to join. Here, SSgt. Tara Kindermann reviews a daily checklist at a missile alert facility at Malmstrom AFB, MT in 2016.
