Enlisted Force
During the Southeast Asia War, air cargo specialists perfected engine-running offloads. After landing and taxiing, C-130 pilots would run-up their engines and loadmasters would unlock the cargo pallets. When the aircraft sped forward for takeoff, the pallets would slide out the back. Using this method, loads could be extracted in seconds. Here, port dawgs with Da Nang Air Base's 15th Aerial Port Squadron load a C-130 Hercules with supplies for airdrop.
