Army Air Forces Enlisted in WWII

Medics remove a litter patient from an L-5 Sentinel as liaison pilot TSgt Sylian Sharp looks on. Field units needed at least two doctors, a dentist, and about fifteen enlisted medics. Most enlisted medics came from the Army’s draft pool and often had no previous medical experience.
