Eugene Kettering Model Aircraft Collection
DAYTON, Ohio -- Aviation enthusiast Eugene Kettering, the son of inventor Charles F. Kettering, the model aircraft collection on display at the National Museum of the USAF reflected his family's fascination with machine technology. He served as the Air Force Museum Foundation's first chairman in 1960, and together they helped raise funds to build a new home for the Air Force Museum (today's Early Years and World War II Galleries), which opened in 1971.
