Battle of Britain
The RAF’s first Hurricanes at RAF Northolt, near London, in 1938. The Hurricane was the first British production fighter to exceed 300 mph in level flight, carry eight guns, and have a retractable undercarriage. More than 14,500 Hurricanes were built.
