Black Hawk Helicopters to Land at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force™

Six UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from the Kentucky National Guard are scheduled to land on the front lawn of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force on Thursday, June 19, in a special one-day visit open to the public.

Plans call for the helicopters to arrive at approximately 1:30 p.m. and will depart around 5:00 p.m., weather and mission requirements permitting. During that time, visitors will have the rare opportunity to get up close to these iconic military aircraft, climb aboard, and interact with the pilots and crew members who fly them.

This free, rain-or-shine event offers a hands-on experience that is sure to appeal to aviation enthusiasts of all ages. It’s a unique opportunity for children and aspiring aviators to explore the aircraft up close, meet the crew, and capture memorable photos.

The UH-60 Black Hawk is a versatile utility helicopter used by the U.S. Army and National Guard for missions including troop transport, medevac, disaster response, and logistical support.
