The American Society of Aviation Artists (ASAA) has returned to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force™ with its 37th Annual International Aerospace Art Exhibition—now open in the museum’s Cold War Gallery through September 21, 2025. This juried exhibition showcases original aviation-themed artwork from around the world.

This year’s display features 41 works of art selected from nearly 100 submissions by 31 artists. Representing a variety of styles and perspectives, the artwork spans ASAA’s core award categories: Military, Civil, Commercial, and Space & Experimental. All pieces are new to the exhibition, offering fresh interpretations of flight and aerospace innovation.

Founded in 1986, ASAA brings together artists recognized as leaders in the field of aviation art. Members are selected by peer review and currently number more than 200 across the United States and internationally. The organization is dedicated to preserving and celebrating aviation history through fine art, while promoting the genre as a compelling and respected art form.

ASAA’s annual forum coincided with the opening of the exhibition, and several members of the organization joined museum staff for a private opening ceremony on June 17. The forum, held at the Hope Hotel & Richard C. Holbrooke Conference Center, also included the presentation of juried art awards.

“Our mission is to tell the story of flight through fine art, and there’s no better place to connect the public with that mission than here, where aviation history lives,” said 2025 Exhibition Chairman Michael O’Neal.

Admission to the museum and the exhibition is free. For more information, visit www.nationalmuseum.af.mil.
