EVENT SCHEDULE

 Building 2: 
 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.   
      

Build and launch your rocket! - All rocket builders must have a timed ticket; free tickets are available at the Museum entrance near the Carney Auditorium. Rocket building will take place in building 2, all launches will take place on the front lawn by the flagpole -- weather dependent. (Rocket building will end at 3 p.m. or while supplies last.)

Ohio Garrison 501st Legion - Meet some of your favorite out of this world characters as they roam through the Museum's galleries. Don't forget to grab a selfie before they blast off to their home world!

 

 Building 4 activities: 
 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.  

  • Rocket Artifact Table - Get a glimpse of unique items from the museum collection that are not typically on public display. 
  • Bernoulli Shooter - Shoot for the Moon!
  • Paper Rockets led by U.S. Space Force - It's not a bird or even a paper airplane - "build" and launch your own paper rocket.
  • COSI - fun stem-based activities
  • University of Cincinnati Aerospace Engineering -
  • FIRST® Tech Challenge teams Innovators Robotics FTC Team 3311 and other FTC Team Reprogrammed Demo

 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. 

  • Rocket Trivia - Space STEM Learning Node - Each trivia session will last 30 minutes and prizes will be awarded to the top three in each session. Have your phone or tablet ready, trivia will launch on Kahoot! either through their webpage (kahoot.it) or you can download the app from your preferred app provider. Join codes will be available at each session. 

 National Aviation Hall of Fame Activities:
10 a.m. - 3 p.m.  

  • 7 Rocket themed hands-on activities in the Innovation Lab
  • Astronaut Hoot Gibson film in the Discovering Flight Theatre
  • Selfie Photo Station in real NASA spacesuit
  • Saturn V Rocket LEGO Build
  • The Evolution of Lift-Off: A NAHF photo exhibit in the JCIL
  • Space Shuttle Hubble Simulator
