Propaganda Leaflet in German

Towards the end of the war, Bulgaria was the first of the Central Powers to surrender on Sept. 29, 1918. By Oct. 28, it was apparent that the Austro-Hungarian Empire was also contemplating surrender. The Ottoman Empire officially surrendered on Oct. 30, with the signing of the Armistice of Mudros. In the final days of October, aircraft of the American Expeditionary Forces began dropping propaganda leaflets over German troops at the Front. This leaflet, dropped by the 11th Aero Squadron, 1st Day Bombardment Group, declares: “Austria is out of the war ... Germany is alone. The whole world knows that the war is over,” and is signed, “The Americans.” (U.S. Air Force photo)

Screening at Entrance
All visitors may be screened with a metal detector upon entry. In addition all bags are subject to search and may be placed through an X-Ray machine. Weapons are not permitted including pocket knives and firearms, to include conceal carry and other dangerous weapons.
