Museum Tours and Group Visits

Free tours are offered daily to all museum visitors. Tours are approximately one hour and 15 minutes in length.  All tours begin at the postage tour signs located near the information desk in each gallery.

10:00 a.m. - Early Years, WWI and WWII galleries
11:30 a.m. - Korea and SE Asia galleries
1:30 p.m. Cold War Gallery
3 p.m. - Space, Research & Development, Global Reach and Presidential galleries

The museum offers several programs designed specifically for adults and student special needs visitors.

Touch tours are offered for blind or visually impaired students and adults of all ages. Participants will be allowed to touch a number of aircraft on exhibit while wearing white museum gloves. Please note this is a one-on-one tour with the visually impaired individual and a docent. A limited number of visually impaired individuals can be accommodated per touch tour, contact the Education Division for details.

Other school programs can also be adapted to meet the needs of students.

The museum is a popular destination for many military reunion groups each year. Military reunion groups from all eras and services visit for a day or two; many groups return every few years.

For information about planning a military reunion at the museum, or dedicating a plaque, bench or statue in Memorial Park, please submit a Military Reunions and Memorial Park Request. The Reunion Group and Memorial Park Manager will contact you regarding options for your visit.
