Air Force Association honors Doolittle Raiders, Tuskegee Airmen

Joseph Sutter presents retired Maj. Thomas Griffin and retired Lt. Col. Richard Cole the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Air Force anniversary dinner Sept. 16, 2009, at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md. Air Force Association Lifetime Achievement Award

The Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by the Air Force Association, recognizes not a single achievement, but a lifetime of work in the advancement of aerospace. In September 2009, the AFA presented this award to the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders.
