These aerospace activities provide an excellent opportunity to engage your students in STEM-based curriculum as well as history, social studies, art and language arts.

This summer, the National Museum of the United States Air Force will offer free beginner-level aerospace camps for students having entering grades 5 or 6 in the 2024/25 school year.

The museum offers cyber programs designed for students with a strong desire to work on a team interested in cybersecurity or other STEM disciplines. Teams will participate in the National Cyber League and National Youth Cyber Defense Competition. Application required for students entering grades 9-12.

The AFA CyberCamp program is designed to excite students new to cybersecurity about STEM career opportunities and teach them important cyber defense skills through hands-on instruction and activities. Through the camp, students  will learn how to protect their personal devices and information from outside threats, as well as how to harden entire networks running Windows 10 and Ubuntu operating systems. The AFA CyberCamp will culminate in an exciting final team competition that simulates real cybersecurity situations faced by industry professionals and mimics AFA’s CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Defense Competition. (Federal endorsement not implied.)

This free course consists of Ground School and training at a flight simulator. Students, ages 14-18, must be able to attend all 6 sessions, based on the format of the class.

TARC Team members prepare to launch





Each year the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force hosts the "American Rocketry Challenge" (ARC). What is ARC? It is the world's largest rocket contest and involves having students design, build and launch rockets to meet a specific goal which changes each year.
All interested students entering grades 7-12 are encouraged to apply for this free program.

Dinosaurs In Motion with a black dinosaur skeleton

This free and interactive exhibit will engage visitors of all ages with 14 magnificent, fully interactive, recycled life-size metal dinosaur sculptures inspired by actual fossils.
