Kite DayStudents in grades 5 and 6 are invited to attend Kite Day from 10 a.m.-noon on Oct. 12, 2012, at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Participants will learn about the exciting history of kites and will build their own sled kite. Kite flying will take place on the museum grounds following the program (weather permitting). Materials fee is $2.50 per student. 

The program meets Ohio and National Academic Content Standards for social studies, science and language arts.
