The U.S. Air Force Band of Flight will perform a free country concert with American Idol contestant Alexis Gomez at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force on Oct. 13 at 7:30 p.m. Due to the popularity of these free concerts, tickets are required. Commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I as one of the nation's premier historical aviation events brings the excitement and adrenaline of early air power to Ohio, Sept. 22-23 at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.
The 2018 WWI Dawn Patrol Rendezvous will not only allow visitors to see great flying action from the early years of aviation, but also includes many other attractions and free interactive educational programs that provide a hands-on experience for the entire family, Sept. 22-23.
The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force will offer several free opportunities to hear veterans and guest speakers describe their first-hand knowledge and experiences during the month of September. Celebrate the beginning of the fall season while learning about the force that causes falling - gravity, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 29. STEM related activities and demonstrations will take place in the second and fourth buildings and will allow those of all ages to experience the concept of gravity in a variety of situations including one station which invites participants to try on a real parachute and sit in an actual B-2 ejection seat. 2014-2018 commemorates the centennial of the First World War. High above the trenches, our soldiers witnessed the advent of military aviation, which forever altered the shape of modern combat and made WWI unlike any other conflict in human history.
