The National Cyber League (NCL) is the nation's premier cybersecurity competition, designed to help high school and college students develop practical, real-world cybersecurity skills while exploring careers in the rapidly growing cyber workforce.

Through a series of hands-on challenges, participants gain experience in areas such as digital forensics, ethical hacking and penetration testing, web application security, password cracking, network traffic analysis, cryptography, malware and ransomware response, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and vulnerability assessment. Whether you're new to cybersecurity or looking to sharpen your technical expertise, NCL offers a fun, supportive, and competitive environment to build your skills.

Throughout the season, students can measure their progress with a personalized NCL Scouting Report, which highlights strengths, identifies opportunities for growth, and can be shared with colleges and employers. Participants also have the opportunity to represent their school in the National Cyber Power Rankings, competing alongside students from across the country.

To help students prepare, our program offers virtual Cyber Open Gym sessions where participants can practice skills, ask questions, and receive guidance before each competition. All Cyber Open Gym sessions will be held virtually. Students are required to attend in person at the museum on official NCL competition days.

Registration and participation in the exciting and educational program is Free to high school and college students. Interested students, need to register to be considered for a spot on the NMUSAF Cyber Skyline NCL team.
