A-1s in Southeast Asia

Major Win DePoorter served two tours in Southeast Asia as an A-1 pilot. He flew 657 missions and holds the distinction of having flown the most combat missions in an A-1 and possibly the most of any USAF fighter/bomber pilot during the war.

Madden Kit: Improving the Odds

High-drag fins slowed the Madden Kit down as it dropped. The fins were also designed to come off if it came into contact with trees or branches to help it penetrate the jungle canopy.

All visitors may be screened with a metal detector upon entry. In addition all bags are subject to search and may be placed through an X-Ray machine. Weapons are not permitted including pocket knives and firearms, to include conceal carry and other dangerous weapons.
