 Hours
The museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. The museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
Some museum exhibits have special hours. The 8th Air Force Control Tower and Nissen Hut, located in the Air Park, are open from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday from January through March (closed Monday through Thursday) and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily April through December.
The Presidential and R&D Galleries are open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Click here for requirements on visiting those galleries, which are located on the controlled-access portion of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Admission
Admission to the museum is FREE.
There is a charge for the digital 3D theatre and flight simulators. Please visit the Air Force Museum Foundation website or call (937) 253-4629 for show times and prices.
Security Notice
Please note that for security reasons, all bags are subject to search, and backpacks, packages and large camera cases are not permitted within the museum. In addition, all adults may be asked to show their picture identification card upon entering the museum.
